Cloud Data Engineer (m/f/d)

What you can expect:
- You develop and operate a modern data lakehouse using cloud technologies and optimize ETL processes for our data warehouse infrastructure
- You design scalable data architectures and implement automated data pipelines with AWS, Python and SQL for business intelligence solutions
- You collaborate closely with data science and machine learning teams to deliver high-performance analytics solutions and data products
- You optimize data processing workflows and ensure performance of our AWS-based data platform for e-commerce analytics applications
- You evaluate new cloud services and big data technologies for continuous improvement of our data infrastructure and platform capabilities
- You work in agile DevOps teams and implement continuous integration practices for data engineering workflows and deployments
What you need to bring:
- You have a completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable qualifications in data engineering or related fields
- You bring solid experience in AWS and platform engineering (3+ years professional experience)
- You excel at automating build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Gitlab pipelines or GitHub Actions (3+ years professional experience)
- You master Python for data engineering and have hands-on experience with cloud technologies, ETL tools, and data pipeline frameworks (3+ years professional experience)
- You are familiar with business intelligence platforms, in particular Snowflake, analytics solutions, and machine learning infrastructure components (3+ years professional experience)
- You enjoy working in agile teams using Scrum methodologies and have DevOps experience in data engineering environments, e.g. terraform (3+ years professional experience)
- You are fluent in English, German is a plus
- You have an analytical mindset, passion for innovative big data technologies, and team spirit for cross-functional project collaboration
- You are willing to work on site at our campus 2 days per week
