Expert BI & Analytics (m/f/d)
What you can expect:
- Take responsibility for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable Business Intelligence and analytics solutions, including automated self-service BI solutions, reports, and interactive dashboards.
- A key focus of your role will be the development and maintenance of semantic data models using dbt and Snowflake, applying dimensional modeling principles to establish a reliable foundation for BI and analytics use cases.
- You will define, standardize, and govern KPIs and metrics to ensure consistency and reliability across business domains, dashboards, and reports.
- Working closely with the Data Platform team, you will analyze data sources and transform the provided data into business-ready models that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity and high-quality analytics solutions by implementing automated testing, data quality checks, and alerting mechanisms.
- Your responsibilities also include applying Git version control, managing development branches, and following established branching strategies to support structured and maintainable development processes.
- Collaborate with specialist departments, Product Owners, and the Data Platform team to continuously improve BI architectures, reporting processes, and analytics technologies.
Requirements:
- You hold a relevant degree or comparable qualification and bring several years of professional experience in a Business Intelligence or analytics environment.
- Your expertise includes working with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio, including their administration, governance, and architectural design.
- With deep SQL knowledge and strong expertise in dbt and Snowflake, you are confident in developing dimensional and semantic data models.
- You are familiar with Git, branching strategies, test-driven development, and automated data quality assurance, complemented by basic to solid Python skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, a structured working approach, and a solid understanding of economic relationships, KPIs, and statistical methods characterize your way of working.
- You are skilled at defining consistent KPI frameworks across teams and translating business requirements into scalable BI and analytics solutions.
- Your profile is rounded off by strong communication and teamwork skills, an agile mindset, a self-responsible and solution-oriented working style, and very good written and spoken English skills.
